Features & benefits
Each user of the portal has a unique, personal login. This is essential because the system generates notices of copyright infringement that include, in the US, a sworn statement under penalty of perjury, or its equivalent under English law, a statement of truth.
Serving a notice is easy. Just enter the title of the work and the URL of the infringing copy. The system does the rest. The user reviews, signs (via a mouse click) and sends the notice.
Automatic identification of repeat infringers
If the portal finds that another user has served notice on the same site previously, it will identify the operator as a repeat infringer and your notice will ask the ISP to follow its policy, which could mean termination of the account.
Anti-stealth technology
Similarly, it handles combinations of locker and feeder sites – a trick whereby the infringer posts the file at an obscure URL, perhaps in Europe, and the link to the file on a more public site in the US.
Real time intelligence
Every site in the system is checked regularly to see whether it is still active. Users can review notices sent by other users, to identify infringing sites that they may wish to check for the presence of their works.
